TO GO THROUGH; TO SEE NEW

It is overwhelming to constantly absorb a prefabricated world, where one’s environment is an array of things rather than substances. To combat this feeling, I rediscovered and reconnected little bits around me into textile swatches. Fishing line, wire, or cellophane, all become threads to fabric.

Each swatch is a synchronization of modern day “high-tech” material through “old-age” processes of construction. Hands-on technologies provide an intuitive method for rewiring the life of a material and discerning new patterns of entanglement.

Pre-existing manmade items are building blocks to a moveable conductive world.
